A late Victorian / early Edwardian Salon Tub Chair c.1890-1900. Newly upholstered using traditional upholstery methods: hand sprung seat; stuffed and hand stitched; coir and horse hair.
The mahogany show wood has been lightly cleaned and waxed. There are a few old woodworm [flight] holes to underside of a seat side rail.
The top fabric is a smooth oyster damask with a slight texture; shallow buttoning to back rest.
